India reports 5,443 new Covid-19 cases

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 5,443 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 46,342 as per the Health Ministry data Thursday.

As many as 14 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,429.

A total of 5,291 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,39,78,271 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.71%.

According to the bulletin, 89.27 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,39,062 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 217.11 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.72 crore second dose and 19.95 crore precaution dose) so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the ministry data said.
