India records 11,739 new Covid-19 cases in past 24 hrs

New Delhi/IBNS/UNI: India registered 11,739 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said in its official bulletin on Sunday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,33,89,973, while the death toll rose to 5,24,999 as 25 more succumbed to the disease.

A total of 10,917 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,27,72,398. The recovery rate stands at 98.58 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 92,576, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 86.07 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 197.08 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
