India logs 19,673 new Covid cases, 45 death in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India registered 19,673 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

According to the Health Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,40,19,811 while the death toll rose to 5,26,357 after 45 more people succumbed to the disease.

Meanwhile, 19,336 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,33,49,778. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.48 per cent.

The active caseload currently stands at 1,43,676, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 87.52 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 204.25 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
