Himachal Pradesh to receive heavy rainfall in three to four days: IMD

The rainfall has disrupted normal life as hundreds of link roads were shut.

The frequent rainfall was also affecting the restoration works and rising of water level was creating major threat to low line area and around major water stream.

Shimla District Administration was allowing the vehicular traffic to ply between Rai Ghat to Theog following caving in of breast wall on Hindustan Tibet National Highway No.5.

In Kangra district, Ghamroor received 71 mm rainfall, Una 67 mm, Nadaun in Hamirpur 37 mm, Guler in Kangra 29 mm, Dehra Gopipur and Nagrota Surian 27mm, Mandi 26 mm, Mehre 24 mm, Sujanpur Tihra in Hamirpur 16 mm, Dharampur in Mandi and Baijnath in Kangra 12 mm each.

Dalhousie in Chamba recorded 11 mm rainfall, Hamirpur 10 mm, Aghar seven mm, Jubbal in Shimla, and Gaggal six mm each, Theog, Kahu in Hamirpur, Pachhad in Sirmaur, Sundernagar and Pandoh in Mandi five mm each respectively.

The minimum temperature of Shimla was recorded at 17.1 degree Celsius, Sundernagar 21.2 degrees, Bhuntar 19.8 degrees, Kalpa 14 degrees, Dharamshala 20.8 degrees, Una 24.2 degrees, Nahan 17.5 degrees, Keylong 14.2 degrees and Solan 20.6 degrees, Manali 16.4 degrees, Kangra 21.8 degrees, Mandi 17.4 degrees, Bilaspur 17 degrees, Hamirpur 17.2 degrees, Chamba 21.6 degrees, Dalhousie 16.6 degrees and Kufri 13.2 degrees respectively.
