Goa registers 1160 new cases of Covid-19, 26 deaths

Panaji/UNI: Goa reported 1160 new cases of Covid 19 and 26 deaths during the last 24 hours.

According to a daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, the number of total confirmed cases in the state shot up to 69,312 while the number of total deaths increased to 926.

There were 440 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 60,145.

The recovery rate in the state dropped to 86.77 per cent from 87.61 per cent.

On Tuesday, 597 new patients were sent for home isolation while 142 were admitted to hospitals.

As many as 3,597 new samples were tested on Tuesday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 5,98,330.

The number of active cases in the state increased to 8,241.
