Kaziranga National Park of Assam, known for its one-horned rhinos, has registered its maximum revenue in the past 50 years, media reports said.

In the current tourism year, 3,27,493 tourists visited Kaziranga, of which 13,919 were from abroad. The park administrators received Rs. 8.8 crore in revenue from tourists, reported KRC Times.

Arun Vignesh, the Divisional Forest Officer of Kaziranga National Park, told the news portal that the park’s popularity was boosted by visits by the King of Bhutan, two Presidents, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kaziranga National Park is a national park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India.

The park, which hosts two-thirds of the world's Indian rhinoceroses, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
