4.3 earthquake hits Jaipur district, no casualty

Jaipur, July 8 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring  4.3 on the Richter scale hit Jaipur district of Rajasthan on Sunday, officials said.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) website, the quake was felt at 9: 30 am.

The IMD website said the earthquake hit at a depth of 10 kms.

People reportedly rushed out of their houses as the quake hit the district.

However, no casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.

As per IMD website, another quake, measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale hit Nicobar Islands on Sunday.

The quake was felt at 3:24, officials said.

The epicentre of the quake was located 70 kms  under the seabed.
