4.2 earthquake hits Delhi-NCR

New Delhi/UNI: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit national capital at around 2346 hrs on Thursday.

The epicenter was monitored at 28.06 degrees latitude and 76.72 degrees longitude, with the quake striking in Alwar, Rajasthan at a depth of 5 Km, DG National Disaster Response Force Satya Pradhan informed through social media quoting National Centre for Seismology.

According to reports from various parts of Delhi and nearby areas, people were seen rushing out of their homes in panic.

No casualties or loss of property have been reported so far.
