India records 35,342 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India witnessed a slight decline in daily COVID-19 count as  35,342 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

3,04,68,079 total recoveries were recorded across the country so far.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.36%.

38,740 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile , 483 people died due to the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll due to COVID-19 in the country to 419470.

India's Active Caseload currently at 4,05,513.

Active cases constitute 1.30% of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5%, currently stands at 2.14%.

Daily positivity rate at 2.12%, less than 3% for 32 consecutive days, the Ministry said.
