New Delhi/IBNS: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday said India will procure 267 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses by the end of this year and will be in a position to inoculate the entire adult population of the country.

He said the government is making all efforts to enhance production and supply of existing vaccines.

"Govt led by Hon'ble PM Sh@narendramodi Ji is leaving no stone unturned to support development of new #COVID19Vaccines & enhancing production & supply of existing ones. By end of this year, we shall have enough doses for our entire adult population," Harsh Vardhan said.

Meanwhile, the Centre on Wednesday said a person can take Covid-19 vaccine shot three months after recovering from the disease.

"The National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC) has shared fresh recommendations regarding COVID-19 vaccination with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.  These recommendations have been based on the evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and emerging global scientific evidence & experience," read the statement issued by the Centre.
