Pakistan continues to witness spike in Coronavirus cases, registers 2298 new cases

Islamabad: Pakistan is witnessing yet another spike in COVID-19 cases as 2,298 new coronavirus cases were registered on Nov 17.

Pakistan has reported 2,298 new coronavirus cases for Nov 17, marking six straight days of over 2,000 daily infections, according to data collected by Dawn News.

The highest number of cases -2,443- was recorded on Nov 14. Sindh has confirmed the highest number of cases, averaging more than 850 daily cases for the past six days, reports the newspaper.

Pakistan witnessed 7230 COVID-19 related deaths so far.

The disease is believed to have originated from China's Wuhan region.
