Haryana records one more COVID-19 death

Chandigarh/UNI: The deadly Coronavirus claimed another life in Haryana, raising the toll in the state to four on Friday.

According to an official bulletin, one person succumbed to the deadly virus in Faridabad district today.

Meanwhile, eight fresh cases were reported in the state taking the count to 333.

Four confirmed cases were reported from Jhajjar district, three from Gurugram and one case from Sonepat district.

So far, the pandemic has claimed four lives in the state. One death each was reported from Karnal, Rohtak, Ambala and Faridabad districts.

In Haryana, Nuh district leads the tally with 58 positive cases, followed by Gurugram 57, Faridabad 53, Palwal 34, Jhajjar 28, Sonepat 26, Panchkula 18, Ambala 14, Panipat 13, Karnal six, Sirsa, Hisar and Rohtak four each, Bhiwani and Yamunanagar three each, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Jind two each, while Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts recorded one case each.

Out of 29,275 samples, 333 tested positive and 26,904 negative, while reports of 2,024 were awaited. There are 108 active cases in the state.

A total of 221 patients, including 50 from Nuh, 41 from Faridbad, 38 from Gurugram, 32 from Palwal, 17 from Panchkula, 10 from Ambala, five each from Karnal and Panipat, four each from Sirsa and Sonepat, three from Yamunanagar, two each from Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Hisar, Jind and Bhiwani and one patient each from Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts have been discharged from hospitals, so far.

A total of 35,564 patients have been put on surveillance till date, out of which 20,379 have completed their surveillance period and currently, 15,185 patients are under surveillance.

Meanwhile, apart from 333 positive cases, 14 Italians had tested positive. Thirteen of them had been discharged and one later tested negative for COVID-19. However, he died due to some other reason.
