COVID-19: 12 new positive cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, death toll rises to 7

Vijayawada/UNI: Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a steady rise in Coronavirus positive cases with 12 new active cases reported during the last 12 hours taking the total number of cases to 432 in the state.

The Coronavirus has claimed 7 lives so far.

A health bulletin here on Monday said that 12 new Coronavirus positive cases were reported during the last 12 hours from 9 pm on Sunday night to 9 am this morning.

The 12 new cases were reported in Guntur district (8), Chittoor (2), one each in Krishna and West Godavari districts.

The 432 positive cases were reported in Guntur district (90), Kurnool district (84), Nellore district (52), Prakasam district (41), Krishna district (36), Kadapa district (31), Chittoor district (23), West Godavari district (23), Visakhapatnam (20), East Godavari district (17) and Anantapur district (15).

Covid-19 had claimed seven lives in the state so far with two persons died in Anantapur district, 2 two in Krishna district and one in Kurnool district.

Meanwhile, 12 persons infected with Coronavirus have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, the bulletin said.
