COVID-19: Maharashtra records 23 new cases; tally mounts to 891
Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally on Tuesday surged to 891 after 23 new confirmed cases were recorded across the State, officials said here.
Till Monday, there were 52 fatalities resulting from the pandemic.
Among the 23 cases, 10 were reported from Mumbai, four--Pune, three--Ahmednagar, two each in Nagpur and Buldhana, and one each in Sangli and Thane.
Of the total 52 casualties, Mumbai recorded 34 deaths, including a 30-year-old pregnant woman from Nalasopara town in Palghar district.
Till date, 32,521 people are in home quarantine whereas 3,498 in institutional quarantine while 70 persons have been cured and discharged.
