Is COVID-19 making a comeback? India registers six deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: Six patients have died due to Coronavirus infection in the country in the last 24 hours while the number of active cases increased by 674 during this period, according to data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

Meanwhile, 9,497 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. So far 2,20,65,44,324 doses of Covid vaccine have been administered.

With the increase of 674 number of active cases has increased to 8,601, the ministry said.

The total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4, 47,02,257.

With six new deaths the toll due to Covid-19 has reached to 5,30,824.

In the same period, the number of people recovering from corona infection has increased by 910 to reach 4,41,62,832.

Maharashtra has seen the highest increase of 146 active cases in the country during the last 24 hours.

Apart from this, Gujarat has 112, Kerala 96, Delhi 78, Himachal Pradesh 69, Haryana 46, Goa 36, Tamil Nadu 32, Uttar Pradesh 30, Chhattisgarh and Odisha nine each, Rajasthan and West Bengal six-six, four in Karnataka, two each in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim, one active case has increased in Union Territory of Ladakh and three in Maharashtra while one each in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Karnataka respectively.
