India registers 2,841 new COVID-19 cases, 9 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 2,841 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as daily positivity rate touched 0.58 percent, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

During the past 24 hours, nine people died due to the deadly virus which was first reported from China.

India's Active caseload currently stands at 18,604.

Active cases stand at 0.04 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.74 percent.

3,295 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
