New Delhi/UNI: The air quality in Delhi-NCR remained "very poor" on Saturday morning according to real time air monitoring agency SAFAR.

At the time of filing the report, the Air Quality Index in Delhi was 321 (very poor) for pollutant PM10 and 169 (very poor) for PM2.5.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 "satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", and 401 and 500 "severe".

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) nearly 17 per cent of PM2.5 pollution in the Delhi-NCR was due to stubble burning.

The agency has, however, forecast an improvement in air quality on Sunday with AQI measuring around 289.

According to Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi will be 34 degree Celsius while minimum 18 degrees C. The sky will remain clear, as per the IMD.

On Friday, the maximum temperature recorded was 34 deg C, two degrees above normal while minimum 14.3 degrees C, two degree below normal.
