Earthquake measuring 3.4 on Richter Scale hits Kangra

Kangra/IBNS/UNI: An earthquake measuring  3.4 on the Richter Scale hit Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district on Sunday.

Shimla Meteorological Office Director Manmohan Singh said the quake hit Kangra district at 1155 hrs.

The earthquake was epicentred at 32.3 degrees North latitude and 76.2 degrees East longitude. Its depth was 5 km.

The quake hit the region hours after the Ladakh was hit by a quake of 5.3 magnitude.
