Pune/UNI: Night temperatures were above normal in some parts of Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala as well as in remaining parts of Konkan and Goa, and Telangana.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Konkan and Goa as well as in remaining parts of madhya Maharashtra, and were markedly above normal in some parts of madhya Maharashtra.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Jharkhand and in remaining parts of West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

The lowest minimum temperature of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sikar in east Rajasthan.

Cold to severe cold day condition very likely in most pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and in a few pockets over east and west Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttarakhand.

Cold wave condition in many pockets with severe cold wave conditions in isolated pockets very likely over Rajasthan.

Similarly, cold wave conditions very likely in a few pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, east and west Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Bihar, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Dense to very dense fog in a few pockets very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Uttarakhand.

The northeast monsoon has subdued over Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Severe cold day condition was observed in most pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and at a few places over Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.

Cold day condition was observed at a few pockets over Gujarat and at isolated pockets over Vidarbha.

Severe cold wave condition was observed in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Cold wave condition was observed at a few pockets over Saurashtra and Kutch, West Bengal and Sikkim.

Dense to very dense fog was observed in many pockets over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, and in isolated pockets over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.

Moderate to dense fog was observed in isolated pockets over madhya Maharashtra, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, north interior Karnataka and east Madhya Pradesh.

At 0830 hours Monday, 25 meter visibility was recorded at Amritsar, Ambala, Churu, Pilani, Karnal, Bhiwani, Aligarh, Varanasi, Sidhi and Delhi (Palam, Ayanagar and Ridge) and 50 meter visibility was registered at Jammu, Ludhiana, Patiala, Chandigarh, Bikaner, Narnaul, Meerut, Najibabad, Bareilly, Churk, Gaya, Purnea, Mahabaleshwar and Delhi (Safdarjung).

The cities of Una, Ganganagar, Rohtak, Pantnagar, Bhagalpur, Malda, Pet Jorhat had 200 meter visibility.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
