Magnitude-5.0 quake hits Lata, Solomon Islands : USGS

New York, May 13 (Xinhua/UNI) A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted 142 km SSW of Lata, Solomon Islands at 21:08:30 GMT on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 11.9545 degrees south latitude and 165.4592 degrees east longitude.
