5.5 earthquake hits Afghanistan,no casualty
Kabul, Jan 14 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale hit Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday.
As per India Meteorological Department (IMD) website, the earthquake hit Hindukush Region of the country.
The earthquake hit the area at around 1:49pm and jolted parts of Afghanistan.
The tremors of the quake was felt in capital Kabul and other provinces of the country.
The quake hit at a depth of 196 kms.
As per the IMD website, the intensity of the quake was 'moderate'.
The epicentre of the quake was located at Latitude 36.5 degrees north and Longitude 70.7 degrees east.
No casualty has been reported so far.
