2 killed as earthquake hits Japan

Tokyo, Apr 14 (IBNS): At least two people were killed as an earthquake hit Japan on Thursday, media reports said.

Several others were injured as the quake hit the nation at around  12:26 UTC.

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Japan on Thursday, officials said.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) website, the epicentre of the quake was located 7 kms south-west of Ueki town in Japan.
