Mumbai: Wipro reported a net profit of ₹3,570 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25, marking a 25.9% rise year-on-year and a 6.4% sequential increase, media reports said.

While the bottomline beat Bloomberg’s estimate of ₹3,350 crore, the topline underwhelmed—revenue came in at ₹22,504 crore, short of the expected ₹22,683 crore, according to a Business Standard report.

Revenue grew 1.3% over the previous year and 0.8% quarter-on-quarter.

IT services revenue slips sequentially

Revenue from the IT services business stood at $2.6 billion, up 2.3% from a year ago but down 1.2% on a sequential basis.

For the coming quarter, Wipro has projected revenue from this segment in the range of $2,505–2,557 million.

Full-year earnings up, revenue dips

For the full financial year, Wipro posted a net income of ₹13,218 crore, a rise of 18.9% year-on-year.

However, annual revenue declined 0.7% to ₹89,088.4 crore, reflecting continued challenges in the broader business environment.

Large deal wins offer some cushion

Despite muted topline performance, deal momentum remained strong. Large deal bookings in Q4 totalled $1.8 billion, up 48.5% YoY.

Total bookings for FY25 stood at $4 billion.

Margins steady, attrition inches up

Operating margin for the IT services segment was at 17.5% in Q4, flat compared to the previous quarter but up 1.1% YoY. Net voluntary attrition for the quarter rose to 15.3%, up from 14.5% in the prior quarter on a trailing 12-month basis.

Geographic performance subdued
Revenue growth across geographies remained sluggish.

The Americas 1 segment grew 5.4% YoY and 0.3% Q-o-Q, while Americas 2 declined 2.7% YoY and 1.2% sequentially.

Europe reported an 8.3% drop from the previous year and 3.3% from the previous quarter.

APMEA saw a 7.3% YoY contraction.
