TCS launches Center of Excellence for IoT Solutions in Hyderabad in collaboration with Intel in India

Hyderabad / Kolkata, Nov 18 (IBNS): Tata Consultancy Services , a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, on Wednesday announced the launch of a new Center of Excellence (CoE) for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in collaboration with Intel.

The state-of-the-art Center will be located at the TCS Hyderabad Campus.

The Center will focus on developing new use cases for various vertical industries and create solution accelerators around Intel technologies for global customers in Manufacturing, Retail, Hi-Tech, Semiconductors, Healthcare and Telecom industries. The primary focus of the Center is to integrate IoT solutions developed by TCS on Intel® IoT platforms and to fast track creation of end-to-end solutions.

This collaboration will enable the creation of indigenous and innovative solutions, establish a strong ecosystem of IoT,   cloud computing and Software Defined Network (SDN). Besides, this will also help in creating new business opportunities, simplify product development and help customers deal with rapid changes in technology.

Intel will provide the new Intel IoT Platform reference architecture for smart and connected things to enable the development of secure and integrated smart solutions. The platform provides a blueprint for delivering innovations to market faster by reducing complexity and defining how smart devices will securely connect and share trusted data to the cloud.

Speaking about the importance of the IoT CoE, V Rajanna, Vice President & Global Head, Technology Business Unit, TCS said, “IoT Solutions will play an integral role in our constantly connected world. TCS’ expertise on Intel’s technology will help in bringing the best solutions to our clients. This COE is dedicated to create new solutions and frameworks across industries, to accelerate the product development cycle and to create a differentiator in the marketplace.”

Commenting on the launch of the CoE, Gregory R Pearson, Senior Vice president, General Manager Sales and Marketing group, Intel Corporation said “The Internet of Things will fuel innovation by harnessing connected “things” and turning the massive amounts of data they produce into actionable insights.  Intel is addressing both technical and business challenges for deploying IoT by offering secure, open and scalable products.
