Sensex drops over 200 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex remained negative on Friday too, as the BSE sensex tumbled down 264.28 points at 59,693.75 in opening trade as selling was seen in Realty, Technology, Bankex and Capital Goods stocks.

The Nifty fell 47.15 points at 17,811.05.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 60.044.96 and 59,628 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,872.60 and 17,775 points respectively.

The Mid Cap declined 0.26% while small Cap rose by 0.10%.

In 30 scrips, 12 advanced while 18 declined.

The losers were HCL Technology by 2.49% to Rs 1045.25, L& T by 1.86% to Rs 2,120, Wipro by 1.52% to Rs 388.45, Tech Mahindra by 1.37% to Rs 988.35.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 1.23% to Rs 119.50, M&M by 1.23% to Rs 1336.05 and Ultracemco by 1.05% to Rs 7,226.
