Sensex closes 242 points down

Mumbai, Aug 21 (IBNS) The Indian market closed in the red with the Sensex moving down by 242 points on Friday.

The Sensex moved down by 241.75 points to stand at 27366.07 points.

The Nifty on the other hand slipped doen by 72.80 points to end at 8299.95 points.
