Renault India expands the Triber family with Triber 100PS. Check out the price
Renault India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, has announced the launch of the all-new Triber 100PS, marking the Indian debut of the company’s new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP).
Designed for customers seeking effortless performance without compromising on practicality, the Triber 100PS combines Renault’s proven modular seven-seater DNA with a comprehensively re-engineered vehicle architecture, a 100 PS turbocharged powertrain and enhanced vehicle dynamics.
Priced from ₹7.84 lakh (ex-showroom), the Triber 100PS brings together seven-seat flexibility, turbocharged performance, fuel efficiency and the tax benefits applicable to sub-four-metre vehicles in a single package.
Renault India’s First RGEP Product
The Triber 100PS is Renault India’s first vehicle built on the new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP), a highly adaptable architecture designed to support future mobility requirements and multiple powertrain solutions.
Developed to address evolving regulatory requirements and customer expectations, RGEP provides the foundation for enhanced performance as well as improved ride and handling characteristics.
The Triber 100PS is not merely a powertrain upgrade but a comprehensively re-engineered vehicle built around the new platform architecture, with extensive developments across engine management, thermal systems, chassis tuning and structural integration.
Engineered From Scratch
At the heart of the Triber 100PS is Renault’s turbocharged TCe 100 engine, which produces 100 PS and a segment-leading 180 Nm of torque. The powertrain is designed to deliver confident acceleration and effortless drivability across varied road conditions.
Supporting the engine is an all-new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS), developed to optimise performance, responsiveness and efficiency.
The vehicle also features a comprehensively reworked engineering package, including:
- New Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS)
- Advanced thermal-management architecture
- New structural enhancements for durability and crash performance
- Revised suspension geometry
- Front and rear anti-roll bars
- MTV Damper Technology
- Optimised braking-system calibration
- Dedicated vehicle-dynamics tuning for Indian roads
A key element of the Triber 100PS’s thermal-management system is the adoption of a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) cooling fan, a technology more commonly associated with higher-category vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
The BLDC system enables more precise cooling management, improved energy efficiency and enhanced thermal performance, contributing to both drivability and fuel-efficiency optimisation.
The Triber 100PS offers a balance of performance and efficiency, with its 100 PS power output and 180 Nm of torque positioning it among the stronger petrol offerings in its class. The vehicle delivers a certified fuel efficiency of 21 km/l.
Together, these enhancements are aimed at delivering a more planted, stable and confidence-inspiring driving experience while retaining the everyday usability that defines the Triber.

Many Lives, One Car
While the engineering package has been extensively revised, the versatility at the heart of the Triber remains unchanged.
The Triber 100PS retains flexible seating configurations for five, six or seven occupants. Its modular interior includes Easy-Fix third-row seats, slide-and-recline second-row seating, one-touch tumble access and multiple passenger and luggage configurations.
With its sub-four-metre length and 1.0-litre petrol engine, the Triber 100PS qualifies for the 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars, while offering seating for up to seven occupants.
More than 2.5 lakh Triber vehicles have been sold in India, making it one of Renault India’s most successful products.
