Reliance Consumer Products acquires SIL brand to revitalise India’s heritage food legacy

Bengaluru: Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has acquired the SIL brand, a trusted food label known for its legacy of delivering quality products, the company announced on Tuesday.

The acquisition is a strategic step to bolster RCPL's presence in the rapidly growing consumer products sector.

According to RCPL, this move signifies its commitment to building a futuristic business rooted in strong foundations while reviving India's heritage brands for modern consumers.

The SIL brand and its diverse product range will enhance RCPL’s existing portfolio, which aims to offer global-quality products inspired by India, designed for the world, at affordable prices.

The company emphasised its focus on restoring iconic Indian brands, making them relevant for today’s consumers.

By leveraging its scale, technological expertise, and insight into the Indian market, RCPL plans to rejuvenate SIL Foods’ legacy and build upon its rich heritage.
