Petrol , diesel prices reduced

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IBNS) Giving relief to consumers, petrol and diesel prices were reduced on Monday, officials said.

While petrol price was cut by Rs 2 per litre, diesel rate was slashed by 50 paise a litre.

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 2.00/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 61.20/litre," the state -run Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOC) said in a statement.

"Decrease Retail Selling Price of Diesel (Retail) by Rs. 0.50/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 44.45/litre," it said.


The new prices will be effective from midnight of 31st August / 1st September, 2015.
