No more tax payment hassles! Bandhan Bank unlocks instant challan and 24×7 payment access in Assam

| @indiablooms | Feb 19, 2026, at 04:27 pm

Kolkata/IBNS: Bandhan Bank has enabled seamless State tax and non-tax payments for Assam through the Assam e‑GRAS portal, allowing customers to make payments easily across online and offline modes.

The Assam e‑GRAS platform lets customers generate challans and log in using their registered mobile number or username for initiating payments. 109 Bandhan Bank branches in Assam will also assist its valued customers to avail this payment facility.

The facility covers a wide range of State taxes (property / land revenue / agriculture / sales etc.) and non‑tax revenues including VAT, fees (application fees / examination fees etc.), fines and penalties, dividends from state enterprises and other Government receipts.

Customers benefit from instant payment acknowledgements with GRN and CIN, the ability to download challans from the portal, and 24×7 access for generating and completing payments. The system ensures secure transactions with mandatory two‑factor authentication and allows taxpayers to preview transactions before confirming.

Payment options also include offline submission through “Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)” at 109 Bandhan Bank branches in Assam, as well as online payments through Internet Banking (Retail and Corporate) and Payment Gateway modes such as Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and UPI. Bandhan Bank branches in Assam will also accept cheques and demand drafts from other banks for tax payments.

Commenting on the development, Rajinder Kumar Babbar, ED & Chief Business Officer, Bandhan Bank said, “Bandhan Bank is committed to strengthening convenient and secure digital payment infrastructure for citizens across Assam. Our integration with the Assam e‑GRAS portal ensures that taxpayers can fulfil their State tax obligations seamlessly through multiple online and offline channels. We are proud to support the State’s efforts in enhancing transparency, accessibility and ease of payments.”

With this initiative, Bandhan Bank aims to provide customers across Assam with a smooth, efficient and secure experience for fulfilling their State tax obligations through the Assam e‑GRAS platform. The Bank currently serves the state of Assam through a strong network of around 500 banking outlets.
