If the user is taking a photograph in a dark environment (such as night or in a deep forest) most mobile cams struggle to find the correct color levels because they are unable to distinguish between environments. Also enhancing the G4’s low light photography, LG’s Optical Image Stabilization helps users take sharp, vibrant images even in the darkest environments.

Typically, when a camera is in a dark environment, it will lengthen the time that its shutter is open, letting in more light. During these long exposure times however, even the slightest movement will result in a heavily blurred image.
OIS 2.0 keeps track of the movements that occur while the shutter is open, countering these motions to ensure that the camera captures images that faithfully reflect the photographer’s subject.

Most photographers can’t hold their camera steady enough to capture blur-free images when the camera’s shutter speed is slower than 1/60th of a second. However, OIS 2.0 allows for a crisp image to be captured with a shutter speed as slow as ¼ of a second.
