LG G4 gives users DSLR in consumer's pocket

New Delhi, July 13 (IBNS) Keeping the needs of mobile users, electronic goods manufacturer LG introduced the G4 which is equipped with a number of cutting edge .

Apart from the top-of-the-line specifications, in addition to its ergonomic design, streamlined UX and a 5.5 inch IPS Quad HD display, the feature that sets theG4apart from the competition is its ‘camera’.

Boasting a remarkable 16mp camera, the G4 makes full use of its detailed display and instinctive operation to help users take professional-quality photographs.

Expertly tailored to meet the needs of modern consumers, the G4 is the perfect phone for today’s mobile photographers.
Until recently, mobile cameras have lagged far behind more advanced DSLRs in their ability to capture photographs when there is very little natural light.

Pictures taken at night or in dark environments were unable to accurately replicate their subjects, even when flashes were used. Professional photographers use sophisticated lenses with heightened aperture values in order to take brighter photographs.

The G4’s camera lens boasts an aperture value of F1.8, making it the brightest smartphone lens on the market and capable of going toe-to-toe with lens used by professionals. The versatile lens will help photographers explore new environments.
By faithfully capturing natural light, the G4’s F1.8 camera lens keeps light sources from blending together, meaning that light sources remain clearly defined even in pictures taken in low light settings.

The high aperture lens of the G4 also reduces a photographer’s reliance on artificial flashes, eliminating artificial glows and leaving photographs looking more natural. With a brighter lens than any of its competitors, the G4 will help amateur mobile photographers capture images that rival those taken by professionals.
Part of the reason the G4’s camera is superior to its competitors is that amount of control it gives to the photographer. In manual mode, the photographer can customize the level of White Balance, ISO, Shutter Speed, Manual Focus and exposure compensation. Manual mode also gives photographers the ability to select RAW or JPEG as the format for their files. Unlike other 3rd party camera apps that feature manual setting adjustments, the LG G4 does a MUCH better job helping users adjust to varying levels of exposure simulation. As settings such as ISO or Shutter Speed are adjusted, the images on the screen will get lighter or darker to give users an accurate preview of their photograph. In addition, LG has included a histogram and light meter in the top left corner of the camera app to further assist the user when customizing shots in manual mode.
Unlike other mobile cameras, retaining high color accuracy is not a problem with the G4 thanks to its advanced color spectrum sensor. If the user is taking a photograph in a dark environment (such as night or in a deep forest) most mobile cams struggle to find the correct color levels because they are unable to distinguish between environments. But the G4’s sensor ensures that its photos always look great regardless of the conditions.
Also enhancing the G4’s low light photography, LG’s Optical Image Stabilization helps users take sharp, vibrant images even in the darkest environments.

Typically, when a camera is in a dark environment, it will lengthen the time that its shutter is open, letting in more light. During these long exposure times however, even the slightest movement will result in a heavily blurred image.
OIS 2.0 keeps track of the movements that occur while the shutter is open, countering these motions to ensure that the camera captures images that faithfully reflect the photographer’s subject.

Most photographers can’t hold their camera steady enough to capture blur-free images when the camera’s shutter speed is slower than 1/60th of a second. However, OIS 2.0 allows for a crisp image to be captured with a shutter speed as slow as ¼ of a second.
