New Delhi, May 2 (IBNS): Internet giant LeEco’s Superphone, the Le 1s, now ranks as the top 1 phone for online sales, in the price range of 10,000 to 15,000 Rupees, and top 10 phones for a combined online and offline sales in India in February, according to a latest report by IDC, the premier global market intelligence firm.

The report released on April 15th showed that among a total of 243 phone models for online sales, Le 1s, which started its first sale on February 2nd, beat most and ranked the top 1 for online sales, between the price range of 10,000 to 15,000 Rupees, and ranked top 3 for all price ranges online sales, in February. And among a total of 387 phone models for all channel sales including online and offline, Le 1s ranked the top 10 in February, strongly beating out iPhone 6 and 6plus, Samsung’s Galaxy J5 and Xiaomi’s Redmi 2.

With breakthrough technology and processing features at disruptively attractive prices, LeEco’s devices have gained a substantial reputation in the Indian smartphone industry within an unbelievably short amount of time. On top of that, LeEco’s vertically integrated ecosystem model, on its Android-based EUI system, will provide consumers in India with access to a huge library of content, including movies, sports, TV shows and music.

This is only one of the many groundbreaking records made by LeEco in India since officially entering the country in January 20th, reflecting on the popularity and rising potential of the Le Superphones. The Le 1s, which was launched on Flipkart, received an incredible 2,028,222 pre-sale registrations and 220,000 orders in 31 seconds in three flash sales since its release, setting records for the highest number of registrations and the highest single number of orders in a flash sale.

The amazing performance of LeEco also won the brand the "Most Promising Smartphone Brand" award in the TeleAnalysis Customer Satisfaction Survey on March 17th in New Delhi, India.

It is understood that LeEco will be holding a second grand launch event on May 3rd in Mumbai, where it is believed that the company may launch its content services and probably new hardware.

The event is expected to receive massive consumer responses, reflecting on the growing impact of the company’s ecosystem-based Internet model both in India and globally. The company is planning to invest USD 10 million on in-house CDN (Cloud and Content Delivery Networks), which will be established in a first round of 10 cities across India by the end of the year.
