Kolkata sees 17 pct decline in hiring activity in October over September

Kolkata,Nov 17 (IBNS): The Naukri Job Speak Index for the month of October for Kolkata was at 1054, indicating a 17 percent decline in hiring activity when compared to September.

Sectors such as Insurance and Pharma saw maximum decline of 23 percent and 22 percent respectively in October as compared to September.

V Suresh, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer,Naukri.com said, “The dip in hiring activity in October was a blip and was primarily due to festive season.  The mood is positive and we can expect hiring to pick up in the next few months.”
