Intex launches Aqua i5 Mini
New Delhi, May 30 (IBNS): Pitted against an array of recently launched Sub-10K smartphones in the Indian smartphone market, Intex on Friday announced the launch of Aqua i5 Mini.
Aqua i5 Mini is a sleek compact smartphone inclusive of an interesting theme based UI which allows users to access the phone features by clicking on the related theme.
"For e.g. a user can access the phone book by just clicking on the book theme. This smartphone comes with an 8MP back camera coupled with an 2 MP front camera and such superior camera applications which make photo clicking a delightful experience for the users," the company said in a statement.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head- Mobiles, said “We at Intex always aim to offer products which cater to the aspirations of users across various platforms. Intex Aqua i5 Mini is one such product which is affordably priced without compromising on its quality, looks and performance giving buyers a delightful smartphone experience.”
The smartphones operates on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Android OS and runs on a 1.3GHz quad core processor that gives it the required power to multitask without latency and perform better in a scenario of multi-app usage.
Boasting its dual-sim capabilities, the phone supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, ensuring full time connectivity for the social media buffs. The phone has 1 GM RAM & 4GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable upto 32GB and is equipped with four sensors - Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, G sensor.
Available in premium white colour along with a free flip cover, the smartphone comes at an MOP of 6,850. This phone can be purchased from 40000 plus resellers, several hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across the country.
Last year, Intex sold 11.5 million handsets out of which, smartphones contributed over 1.5 million of its share. Intex has already launched 32 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has plans to launch around 8 more models during the next quarter.
