Mumbai, Mar 14 (IBNS) Infosys on Monday said it recently commenced the second edition of the Infosys Global Hackathon, an initiative to inculcate the culture of rapid problem-solving using technology among its employees.

The event that is currently underway, will provide Infoscions an opportunity to identify and solve interesting problems, and encourage out of the box thinking.

It is helping them gain hands-on experience with open source and proprietary software tools and technologies.

The hackathon has multiple tracks and participants can pick and choose from the tracks depending on their area of interest and expertise.

These different tracks will focus on choosing challenging problems from any domain or technology, selecting from pre-defined problems statements as well as conducting functional and non-functional testing by using open source or commercial testing tools.

Added to this, there is a track for participants interested in working on packaged solutions.

The program is being conducted globally across 25 locations and has seen over 850 employees participate until now.

The ideas that will emerge from this Hackathon will be reviewed by Infosys leadership and taken forward, along with continuous engagement with the participants.
