Indian market: Sensex drops by over 300 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday slipped 366.64 pts at 52,165.43 as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too declined 114.65 pts at 15,524.15.

The sensex registered days high and low at 52,114 and 52,164 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,507.70 and 15,524.15 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap eased 0.68 pc and Small Cap by 39 pc.

In 30 scrips 6 advanced while 24 declined.

The losers were Tata Steel by 2.70 pc to Rs 860.35, Bajaj Finserv by 1.96 pc to Rs 11,505.15, IndusInd Bank by 1.55 pc to Rs 786.25 and Bharti Airtel by 1.50 pc to Rs 643.95.

The gainers were Dr Reddy's Lab by 1.71 pc to Rs 4343.90, Asian Paints by 0.93 pc to Rs 2703.60, Hind Unilever by 0.83 pc to Rs 2223.25 and HDFC by 0.28 pc to Rs 2181.45.
