Indian equity benchmarks suffer losses on Thursday

Mumbai, Nov 30 (IBNS): The Indian market decline sharply on Thursday, with  the NSE Nifty down 134.80 points at 10,226.50 on the day of expiry of November futures & options contracts. BSE Sensex slid 453.41 points at 33,149.35.

According to media reports, investors looked cautious after widening fiscal deficit and ahead of second quarter GDP data due later on Thursday.

Top gainers included GAIL, Bosch, Idea Cellular, Dr Reddy's Labs, NTPC and Bharti Airtel while UPL, Kotak Mahindra, Tata Motors (D), Hindalco, SBI, Reliance and Axis Bank declined.
