Indian benchmark indices end positive on Monday

Kolkata, Jun 5 (IBNS): The Indian market ended positive on Monday with the BSE Sensex up 36.20 points at 31,309.49 and NSE Nifty up 21.60 points at 9,675.10.

The GST Council, following their Saturday meeting in New Delhi, seemed even more confident about rolling out the tax reform on July 1 as planned.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Monday were Bajaj Auto, Yes Bank, Idea Cellular, TCS, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Ports and Axis Bank while Coal India, UltraTech Cement, GAIL, Infosys, Lupin, and Dr Reddy's Labs declined.
