Deepinder Goyal steps down as Eternal CEO; Blinkit’s Albinder Dhindsa to take charge
Mumbai/IBNS: Deepinder Goyal on Wednesday announced his resignation as the Group CEO of Eternal, marking a major leadership transition at the publicly listed company.
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa will take over as the new Group CEO of Eternal, Goyal confirmed in a statement to shareholders.
Explaining his decision, Goyal said he was stepping away from the top executive role to pursue high-risk, experimental ideas that are better explored outside the framework of a public company. He stressed that Eternal must remain focused and disciplined in its core business, noting that the regulatory and legal responsibilities of leading a listed company in India require undivided attention.
In his message, Goyal wrote: “Today, I am going to step away from the Group CEO role, and subject to shareholders’ approval, will remain on the board of directors as Vice Chairman. Albinder Dhindsa (Albi) will be Eternal’s new Group CEO.”
He added: “Of late, I have found myself drawn to a set of new ideas that involve significantly higher-risk exploration and experimentation… the expectations, legal and otherwise, of a public company CEO in India demand singular focus.”
