BSE Sensex, Nifty close at record high
Mumbai, June 5 (IBNS) The BSE Sensex on Thursday closed at a record 25,019.51 at 0.86 percent higher (up 214 points) breaking all previous records while the Nify gained 0.97 percent to 7,474.10.
Among the major stocks that contributed to the Nifty show are Infosys and Sesa Sterlite while SAIL, Reliance Infra and Havells were behind the midcap rally.
Optimism over the economy in the market led to the record surge in stock market.
Reports said Sesa Sterlite Ltd provisionally gained 6.7 percent.
