This is part of companies plans to spread its network to international destinations by the year-end, said the company's founder and Chief Executive Officer, Vinay Dube, according to a report in the media.

The carrier also plans to establish a learning academy in Bengaluru, he added.

The report quoted Dube as saying that Akasa has received 18 of the 72 aircraft of an earlier order.

He further added that Akasa will be required at least 3,500 pilots in the next 10 years, and in the next one year it will hire 300 pilots.
