Petrol price breaches Rs 90 mark in Maharashtra

Parbhani, Sept 11 (IBNS): The price of petrol has crossed the Rs 90 mark in parts of Maharashtra.

Petrol is being sold at Rs 90 a litre in Parbhani, a city located in eastern Maharashtra. 

According to reports, three petrol pumps in the city are selling oil at more than Rs 90 a litre.

Diesel is being sold at Rs 77.92 a litre.

Meanwhile, fuel prices continued to rise even on Tuesday.

The petrol prices are Rs. 88.26/litre in Mumbai, Rs. 84.07/litre in Chennai, Rs. 83.75/litre in Kolkata and Rs. 80.87/litre in New Delhi.

Diesel prices are Rs. 77.47/litre in Mumbai, Rs. 77.15/litre in Chennai, Rs. 75.82/litre in Kolkata and Rs. 72.97/litre in New Delhi.

On Monday, the Andhra Pradesh government announced a reduction of fuel prices by Rs. 2/litre.

Prior to Andhra Pradesh, the Rajasthan government had reduced 4% Value-added Tax (VAT) to reduce the fuel prices by Rs. 2.5/litre.
