GST to be implemented from July 1

New Delhi, Feb 28 (IBNS): The Goods and Services Tax will come to effect from July 1, officials said.

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das announced that Goods and Services Tax will be implemented from July 1.

The Constitution (122nd Amendment) Bill for the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was passed by the Lok Sabha last year, with 443 members present in the House voting in favour of the legislation.
