New Delhi, Jan 28 (IBNS) Low cost carrier AirAsia India on Thursday said it has sponsored free tickets to a group of 43 residents from Nava Jeevana, a rehabilitation center for the physically challenged, who are taking a three day trip to Vizag.

AirAsia India has taken up the cost towards this round trip to Vizag from Bengaluru from Jan 28 to Jan 30.

Commenting on this gesture, MittuChandilya, AirAsia India CEO & Managing Director said, “We are extremely happy and excited to have given these special guests from Nava Jeevana an opportunity to fly with us. It makes it so much more special that it is the first time that some of these guests are experiencing air travel. At AirAsia, we're not just committed to air travel but to give our guests an experience of a lifetime. We recognize our responsibility to the world — to better the lives of our guests, our AllStars and the communities we serve, and to inspire others to do the same.

Luciana D Rozario, Director, Nava Jeevana, Rehabilitation Centre for the disabled said, “Excitement in the air as 43 of us board AirAsia India, a chance of a life time for us differently abled people from Bellary. From day one the AirAsia India team have been so cordial, preparing the minute details of the first flight. We were treated like kings and queens on board. The airline’s kind gesture has become a keepsake that will ever remind us of happy times and beautiful memories. We thank AirAsia India for showing us that there are people like them in the world.”
