Hannover, Apr 17 (IBNS) Rajasthan’s delegation led by the Industries Minister, Gajendra Singh Khimsar, on Thursday showcased the investment opportunities in the State at a seminar organized in Hannover Messe.

The Commissioner- Industries, Abhay Kumar was also present on the occasion.

The Seminar organised by the Government of Rajasthan in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), was also attended by business leaders who shared their positive experience of investing in Rajasthan.

The Minister said that with its effective Single Window Clearance System as well as a progressive Rajasthan Investment Promotions Scheme (RIPS) 2014, the State was poised for a quantum jump in industrialization and manufacturing.

The Minister said it was encouraging to see a number of international business leaders evincing keen interest for investing in the State.

A flourishing tourism industry, availability of raw materials and good connectivity to markets were strong pillars for the state.

He added that Rajasthan has high potential for solar power generation.

He further added, “Success comes to those who can change at the right time and the right time is now. Come to India, bring your technology and marketing and use our labour and skills and we will grow together. Come to Resurgent Rajasthan in November and see for yourself.”

At a presentation given by Abhay Kumar, the salient advantages of investing in Rajasthan were highlighted. He noted that the State had highly skilled manpower and the versatility of its entrepreneurs gave it tremendous strength. The State could also consider a dedicated German Zone if there was adequate demand for it, said Abhay Kumar.

Sanjay Srivastava, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra Worldcity Jaipur Ltd., delivered the opening remarks at the conference and noted that dedicated investment zones, such as the one for Japan, had led to a steady flow of investments into the state.

Deep Kapuria, Chairman of Hi – Tech Group of Companies, said that Indian and foreign manufacturers had created world-class plants in India, which would not have been possible without the right policy environment.  He made a strong pitch for a German zone in India.

Anil Saboo, Managing Director of Elekrolites Power Ltd.; Abhinav Banthia, Director, Manu Yantralaya; and Lalit Ahuja, Managing Director, Ahuja Group also shared their experiences of operating in Rajasthan.

Ahuja gave the perspective of the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) sector saying, “Progressive leadership and a stable law and order situation were vital elements for the growth of the SME sector in Rajasthan.”

The seminar was a part of a slot given to Rajasthan along with other states at the Hannover Messe fair. It is to be recalled that Hannover Messe is the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology.
