Sensex slips 199 points after touching record high, Nifty ends 65 points below

The BSE Sensex on Tuesday slipped 199.17 pts to settle at 73,128.77 as selling was witnessed in Realty, Power and IT stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 65.15 pts at 22,032.30.

The NSE registered days high and low at 22,124.15 and 21,969.80 pts respectively.

The Sensex opened almost steady at 73,331.95, rising 4 pts. It advanced 100 pts at 73,427.59 days hugh during the day. Later, it was dropped 367 pts at ,72960.29, days low, before closing at 73,128.77, sliding 199.17 pts from its previous close.

The Mid Cap eased 0.31 pc and Small Cap by 0.43 pc.

In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.

The losers were HCL Technologies by 1.87 pc to Rs 1558, Wipro by 1.83 pc to Rs 485.50, NTPC by 1.78 pc to Rs 311.75, Infosys by 1.59 pc to Rs 1625.70 and Reliance Industries by 1.43 pc to Rs 2747.50.

The gainers were Titan by 1.54 pc to Rs 3816.50, ITC by 1.49 pc to Rs 474.35, Maruti Suzuki by 1.13 pc to Rs 10,200 and L& T by 1.03 pc to Rs 3578.95.
