Sensex opens at 62,743.47 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex remained an all- time- high on Wednesday, as the Sensex opened at 62,743.47, advancing 62 points on strong global cues.

The Nifty moved up 7 points at 18,625.70.

The stocks including FMCG, Financials and Health Care kept the market strong.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 62,865.74 and 62,667.81 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 18,679.55 and 18,616.70 points respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.39 pc and Small Cap by 0.40 pc.

In 30 scrips 18 advanced while 12 declined.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 1.18 pc to Rs 107.35, Dr Reddy's Lab by 1.14 pc to Rs 4503.50, M & M by 1.10 pc to Rs 1270.75, Nestle India Ltd by 0.81 pc to Rs 20,281.70 and Asian Paints by 0.52 pc to Rs 3150.

The losers were HCL Technology by 0.91 pc to Rs 1117.85, Tech Mahindra by 0.86 pc to Rs 1066 and Infosys by 0.74 pc to Rs 1616.20.
