Delhivery to create over 75,000 seasonal jobs pan-India over next 6 weeks

Gurugram: Logistics provider Delhivery plans to create over 75000 seasonal jobs pan-India, over the next six weeks to cater to the significantly higher volumes during the festive season with both its parcel and express part-truckload businesses, the company said Friday.

Of the total, Delhivery will hire over 10,000 off-roll employees across its gateways, warehouses, and last-mile delivery centers.

The company will also double down on its various partner programs by onboarding individual bikers, local retailers, business partners, and transporters.

Delhivery said its technology stack that provides for multiple apps with an intuitive UI and in-built training and instructional modules has enabled it  to onboard multiple partners at scale without impacting the end customer experience

The company is expected to roll out a revenue payout of 150 crore across all programs.

Commenting on the plans, Ajith Pai, Chief Operating Officer, Delhivery, said, Alongside building delivery capacity, we have expanded our infrastructural footprint by a million sqft in the first quarter of FY23. Our fully-automated mega gateway at Tauru went live in April this year and is equipped with automated parcel and hub sortation to drive efficiency across both b2c and b2b supply chains. Additionally, we are beefing up our pan-India parcel sortation capacity by 1.5M shipments a day to meet the heightened customer demands."

Through the LMA(Last-Mile Agent) program alone, the company will hire 50000 last-mile agents.

"All self-employed individuals, students, retired professionals, and other job seekers looking for flexible earning opportunities can sign up and offer delivery services in their area. All they require is a two-wheeler, a valid driving license, and a smartphone," the Gurugram-based company said.

Delhivery will also strengthen its other ongoing programs, such as D@S(Drop at Store) and Constellation, to extend its capacity by adding 15000+ last-mile riders.

D@S and constellation enable local retailers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to provide pick-up and delivery services in their local area.

Further, the company will onboard truckers, fleet owners, and brokers through its BP program (Business Partners) to expand part-truckload capacity by 50 percent over the next few weeks.

The company said interested people can sign-up for the above-mentioned partner programs at https://www.delhivery.com/partner/
