New Delhi: Car market leader Maruti Suzuki clocked total sales of 1,75,916 units in July, up 8.28 per cent over 1,62,462 in the corresponding month last year.

The total sales in the month include domestic sales of 145,666 units, sales to other OEM of 9,939 units and exports of 20,311 units.

However, the shortage of electronic components had a minor impact in the production of vehicles, mainly in domestic models.

The company sold 20,333 units of Alto and S-Presso in July against 19,685 in the same month last year. It sold 84,818 units of Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and WagonR compared to 70,268 units in the same period last fiscal.

The company sold 1,379 units of Ciaz, 23,272 units of Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6 and 13,048 units of Eeco.
