Indian Market: Sensex closes in red, loses 80.63 points, Nifty below 18,017

Mumbai/UNI: The Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty 50 closed in red territory on Wednesday.

The BSE Sensex closed at 60,352.82, down 80.63 or 0.13 per cent.

Similarly, Nifty closed at 18,017.20, down 31.90 points or 0.18 per cent.

The Sensex opened at 60,295.26 and registered day's high and low at 60,506.50 and 59,967.45 respectively.

The Nifty opened at 17,973.45 and registered day's high and low at 18,061.25 and 17,915.00 respectively.

Airtel, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance, Sun Pharma and ITC were among the gainers while Bajaj Finance, HCL, TCS, ICICI Bank, Bajaj auto were among the losers.
